The Regina 525 HPE Z-Ring Chain with Rivet Link sets new standards in motorcycle chain performance and durability. This highly developed chain does not require regular relubrication, which makes it particularly low-maintenance. Motorcyclists benefit from the innovative technology, which means they no longer have to lubricate the chain every 1,000 km.

Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the HPE chain has a service life that is at least as long, if not longer, than traditional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chains. A special feature of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings from the group of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coatings. This coating is applied to the surface of the bushings and rollers and reduces energy losses while increasing efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need to clean the chain and prevent lubricant splashes during operation minimizes environmental impact. This technological innovation was developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
